EOC week 4

Advertising the paid, public, non-personal announcement of a persuasive message by an identified sponsor; the non-personal presentation or promotion by a firm of its products to its existing and potential customers.Advertising is a single component of the marketing process. It's the part that involves getting the word out concerning your business, product, or the services you are offering.Advertising includes the placement of an ad in such mediums as newspapers, direct mail, billboards, television, radio, and of course the Internet. Advertising is the largest expense of most marketing plans, with public relations following in a close second and market research not falling far behind. Whereas marketing is the systematic planning, implementation and control of a mix of business activities intended to bring together buyers and sellers for the mutually advantageous exchange or transfer of products.Marketing is a process that takes time and can involve hours of research for a marketing plan to be effective.

Bad Products EOC week 6

I believe Snuggies are a horrible product because i believe it is just a gimmick. I mean the commercials are totally over dramatic and it is misleading. This product has came out sunggies for pets and babies. But the regular snuggies is just a backwards robe you are going to pay for something you already have. I think snuggie is targeted to people that loves the seen on TV stuff.
I also think the smooth away things are horrible. They are suppose to last longer then a razor when you shave but it really doesn't. It last just as long As if you have shaved with a razor. The sticky pads on them do not last long either and it takes forever to shave with those things. I believe this two products should not be in the market at all.

EOC Week 3 Strong or Weak Dollar i say MIDDLE DOLLAR!!

Should Americans have a strong dollar or a weak dollar? Why did you make that choice, what will happen why or why not?

I think America should have a dollar that is in between Because either way we goes
wouldn't be a good situation.Like If we have a strong dollar people will stop using American exports so in the end that wouldn't be good for us in America. The people overall would turn to the cheaper countries to purchase their products. Then if we have a weak dollar it wouldn't be worth like anything or close to nothing. The exchange rate will benefit other countries, but our own. I always think of America as superman because we are always trying to help another country. So if we have a strong dollar weak we will be like those countries we try to save and will make us work harder for nothing. As an American we work hard for something so with either dollar it would make us working hard worthless. Plus America depends on exports for it's profit for our countries money. So having i guess you can say an average or middle dollar would help us more then wither strong or weak. If that type of dollar doesn't exist then if should.

Good and Bad customer service

A good experience I have had was a couple moths ago. I was at Charlotte Rouse. I walked in and was greeted . I was asked if there was anything I was looking for? I said,"yes i am looking for jeans to wear out the store." The girl told me that's no problem and showed me where the jeans were and told me the sale. The second I would pick up a pair of jeans she would take them to my room. So by time it was time for me to go in and try on the clothes i had a dressing room all ready for me with a bottle of water. I never expected that from Charlotte Rouse because that's what we at BCBG. So i was so surprised and happy.

A bad experience at Foot Action i went in there to find some shoes for my boyfriend a few days later. I was not greeted, i was not asked can i help you find anything, they didn't even tell me the shoes were on sale. I don't even think they knew i was in the store because they were so busy talking among each other.I was looking around for 20 mins and none of the employees still haven't came to ask if i needed a size. I was in a happy mood to buy my boyfriend shoes i decided to up to them and ask for the size i needed, literally 5 seconds later she comes out rudely and tells me they don't have it. i said good then i left, because i think if she did have it wasn't going to buy anyways since the service was sooo horrible. That was the worst experience ever. FYI don't bring your problems to work. The customers doesn't want to hear it. i think i will stick to shopping at foot locker or champs never foot action.

About Me

Hello..
My name is Tomisa Bayliss if easier call me mimi. I am 18 years old but soon to be 19. I am a fashion major here at the Art Institute and love it here. I got into fashion at a really really young age thanks to my mom and my aunt. I've been modeling for about 5 years now. I guess you can say I have always had the passion for fashion. Right now I work at BCBG and I love it. It is my first job ever so I like to think I got really lucky to find a job in such a great market. Before I graduate I want to transfer out of state in the Art Institute of Miami I think I need a new scenery. I say that because I have been living here for about 14 years, it is time to go. After I get my degree I have decided that I want to open a modeling agency. I made that my choice because I know how hard it is to get in this business and stay in.
